I will never forget the day i Realized I not only wante to burn everything down
everything I had built with my own hands,
and not only did i want to,
I actually had to,
if i ever wanted to feel like I could breathe again.
I remember realizing what the goddess creates, she also destroys. my castle had become the prison i was locked in.
i had no choice: i was finally going to have to use that hidden, quivering voice.
the one that had LONG been whispering to me
BUT NOW SHE WANTED TO TALK THROUGH ME.
the great mother kills in service to life.
I knew there were things I had to kill in order to survive.
I knew, in a patriarchal world, where women survive
by playing pretty pleasing and polite,
I was going to have to look like the bad guy
I was going to have to stop playing nice and do what was right.
i knew my cherishing mother life force, but i had yet to meet the dark mother in me, the one who destroys to set us free
well that is what a dark& DEEP midlife split is good for.
